Responsibilities

Both responsbilities and benefits accompany membership at the IU Simon Cancer Center. All members are expected to participate in the clinical, research, and teaching programs of the IU Simon Cancer Center.

Specifically, as an associate or full member you are expected to:

  • make meaningful contributions to the research, education, patient care, and community outreach activities of the Cancer Center, as exhibited by co-publications and joint funding applications;
  • attend regular program meetings;
  • serve on various Cancer Center committees when called upon; and
  • recognize the support of the IU Simon Cancer Center on publications when appropriate.

In addition, full members are expected to maintain peer-reviewed support or play a significant roll in a national cooperative group.

Affiliate members are expected to make significant contributions to the overall mission of the IU Simon Cancer Center in areas of research, education, patient care, or community outreach.
